I would have to say Enid Blyton and Judy Bloom were the main inspiration for me to embark on this very exciting author journey. At the time, many years ago, it felt as though they magically took all my thoughts and put them on paper. An avid reader from an early age, a deeply curious mind and an imagination which knew no boundaries, I always had an opinion and needed to be heard. At school I loved drama and often found myself insisting that my teachers change the script if I thought it incoherent and even offered to re-write it at the grand old age of 10! I successfully persuaded the drama teacher to change the school play from ‘Cinderella’ to ‘Cinder-Eddie’ and naturally lobbied for the part of Princess Charming. Why does it always have to be the ‘damsel in distress?’ I asked. This time let it be the man in distress and the woman saving him! After years of corporate jobs to pay the bills, I finally in my forties, earned the wrinkles and the right to ‘do what I love.’ But how did I know what I love? Storytelling always remained my main passion and writing it down proved far more impactful than merely saying it, so why not make a career out of it?
