It was here. It had arrived. The day of my book launch. The sumptuous Mandarin Oriental hotel was my stunning venue to tell the world I was a published author and my book was about to be launched. I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs. My publisher had sent me a big box with copies of the book. I held it in my hands almost weeping with joy. I had waited so long for this moment and here it was. Beautiful assortment of flowers adorned the opulent Loggia room looking out on to the perfect and pristine Hyde Park, I was both excited and nervous. This was going to be a memorable occasion. My husband invited his business colleagues and his friends from Germany. My sister had arrived from Holland, my friends were arriving from Dubai, Switzerland, Denmark etc and it was all to celebrate my novel. I had accomplished and realized what I always wanted to do and it felt wonderful. With my new pen gifted to me by my publisher I was elated to do book signings and dedicate the book to my guests. The event ended on a high with book readings, interviews, and information about Alzheimer’s disease. My guests went away satisfied, knowing a donation will be made for each book sold from my website to Alzheimer’s charities.
Love who you are
