A beautiful, thought provoking and intelligently written story. At a time of pandemics and mental health on the forefront of all of our minds, this novel about early-onset Alzheimer’s disease is very well told and perfectly well timed. Well developed characters who are convincing, you almost feel as if you somehow know them. A real page turner, the reader is quickly drawn in and desperate to find out what happens next.

Mental health is a hot topic in the world right now. ‘The light of darkness’ brilliantly brings this subject to our attention once again. Harry’s diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease really piqued my interest, and I was desperate to learn more. Beautifully developed characters, I was perfectly able to picture them in my mind. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book – it’s a must read for anyone that enjoys a bit of romance drama and tragedy. Cannot wait for part two.

I’m always looking for something new to read and get through books quickly once I find a page turner. I bought this after a friend recommended it, sceptically I might add as it isn’t so well known. However I trust this particular friend’s literary taste. It was an absolutely captivating read from beginning to end. Hands down the best book I have read in a very very long time. I now have all my colleagues and my wife reading it!!

A touching book and a very close to my heart topic. ‘The light of darkness’ is a wonderful read for all ages and all sexes. Romance, drama, intrigue and glamour the book provides something for everyone. The early-onset Alzheimer’s diagnosis was fascinating to learn about, and I cannot wait to see what happens to Harry later on in life. A very well written, thought-provoking book. Bravo! I cannot recommend it highly enough and look forward to reading the second part.
